Friday Night Fun

Tonight we had a great dinner and visit with Grammy and Papa Bruce. Riley had a lot of fun playing with her Grammy and it was nice for the adults to have a chance to visit. I will post a few silly pictures of Riley playing in her bucket o' rita. The funniest thing was that she was pretending to go trick or treating with the margarita bucket. What would the neighbors think?

February Birthdays

In Mike's family there are 4 birthdays in February, so we try and plan one big get together. Juliet's is the 2nd and she turned 13, Granny's is the 9th, Kelly's is the 15th, and finally Mike's is the 18th. Wow, what a busy month! We all got together yesterday at Granny and Papa Dan's for a great meal, 2 delicious cakes, and a great time being together. The cousin's had a blast playing and hanging out. I think that the highlight of Riley and Jadyn's night was the bath with the dinosaurs. (sorry about the pics....they were having more fun playing) Everyone else just had fun being together. Riley was supposed to stay for a cousin sleepover, but chickened out at the last minute. Guess we should not have given her the choice:) What a great time we had as a family!!

Happy Valentine's Day

You know you are getting older when a great Valentine's Day means dinner at home with your family and friends. Well I guess we are getting older because that is how we spent our day! Chrissy, Dave, and Lucas came over to share their Valentine's Day with us. The kids had a lot of play time, we had a great meal (babyback ribs and mud pie for dessert), and had a lot of fun just spending time together. The kids also ended their great day with a co-ed bath! Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. Thanks to the Ensign family for spending their evening with us!(The first few pictures are from yesterday of Riley enjoying a valentine cupcake. I tried to ge ther to shove it in her face for a great photo op, but she refused....sorry)

Ready for Spring

This week's weather has been a welcome change. We are ready to be outside and play. Today we were able to take advantage of the nice weather and get out and let off some steam! Riley had a ball as you will see from the pictures. She has mastered the rock wall this year and continues to enjoy climbing up the slide. You can also see her hanging like the monkey she is:) She was very upset when it was time to go in and make dinner, but as you will see from the sunset...it was getting late. We finished out the great day with a nice bubblebath....chocolate strawberry bubbles to be exact...compliments of Granny and Papa Dan in her Valentine box that she got today. Which also made her excited since she loves getting packages! (I also added a new picture of the floor minus the blue tape and with some furniture. Have I mentioned how happy I am about the floors?!)

New Floors

Today we had our new wood floors installed. They turned out great! I have posted some before and after photos, even if you cannot get the full effect. We must be getting older because these little things around the house make us so excited. (Pardon the blue tape and sorry that the after is before the before....it kept posting them that way.)

Riley, Reese, and Sawyer

Here are a few pictures of the cousins from the family party on Saturday. Thanks Devon for letting me use your pictures. The girls had so much fun playing together. They walked around hand in hand or with their arms around each other...they were too cute!

More Singing...for you Kelsey

After cousin Kelsey saw Riley singing her last song, she had a request. Kelsey wanted to see Riley singing Hot 'n Cold by Katy Perry. We tried our best and she was cute, but very obsessed with a booger during all of our attempts. Hope you think it all is as funny as we did. She is growing up way too fast! Hope you enjoy Kelsey! (Oh and what would dinner be without a little more $5?) (And for those of you that know the song, do you notice all of Riley's adaptations??)
