Payton's first Pedicure
Today I painted my nails for a wedding we are going to and that of course made Riley want to get hers done too. Payton has loved pointing out our painted toes all summer, so tonight I decided why not just paint hers too:) Nothing fancy, just one quick coat so that it would dry fast. She sat amazingly still for the painting part and now loves showing off her painted toe nails. My how fast she is growing up...it definitely happens quicker when you have a big sister to follow after!

Happy Birthday Riley!
Wow, it has been 6 years since we became a family of 3!!! And what an amazing 6 years it has been. Riley has brought so much joy to our lives and she continues to amaze us with how smart and grown up she is becoming!! We love the little girl that she is turning into. She is a great big sister, daughter, and friend. Riley has the sweetest little heart and we love her so much!! Happy 6th Birthday Riley!
She has had a very special day. It began with presents, cupcakes, and balloons then it was off to art camp. After camp, we took one of her friends with us and picked up another on the way home. Then we headed to McDonald's for some lunch, presents, playing, and ice cream. The girls then were off to get their nails and toes done:) Tonight we will end her special day with popcorn and watching a 3-d movie that she got for her birthday. Here are a few pictures from today...

Crazy Summer Days
The girls are enjoying being home with me for the summer..I hope. They are defintely both enjoying staying up later and sleeping in in the mornings. Most days they both sleep until about 9! (One day last week, they both slept until 10:30!!) Here are a couple of silly pics of them from yesterday and today. They can both be hams when they want to....and both love each other so darn much! I am thoroughly enjoying the summer at home with the girls!!
Tooth Fairy Visit #2
Tonight we are expecting another visit from the tooth fairy! We noticed last week that Riley's big tooth was already coming in behind her loose tooth and figured the baby tooth would be coming out soon. Yesterday and today it has gotten very loose. This morning it was really bothering her and hanging in there all weird. I cannot handle the site of wiggly teeth though, so I told her she had to wait until daddy came home. When Mike got home he grabbed the cotton squares, for better grip, and went to work! I stayed downstairs...no thank you! Low and behold, she came down shortly after with a big grin on her face:) See below.... Last time the tooth fairy put her money neatly in her special tooth fairy box. I guess it was too hard for her to get out because underneath the box is a note for the tooth fairy asking her to please just leave the money under the pillow and not back in the box. That Riley is too darn funny!!!! Hope it is another successful visit tonight from the tooth fairy....

16 weeks
Yesterday I had my 16 week appointment. I am happy to report that mommy and baby are perfectly healthy! While I feel like I am growing, I gained only 1/2 pound this month. (Up about 6 pounds for the first 4 months) Funny since I feel like I am eating so much more:) His/her heart rate was between 148 and 151. Our next appointment will be on July 3rd and we will also have our ultrasound at this time and get to see the baby!!! We can hardly wait. It will be fun to bring the girls with to see their brother/sister:) At this time we will also be able to find out what we are having. Sometimes I think it would be fun to leave it a surprise...as I am pretty sure this will be the final baby for us. Other times however, I think that there is no way not to find out, there is so much to get ready for the new little one. I guess that we have 4 weeks to make this decision. Whether we decide to find out or not, I have put a poll on the right where you can cast your vote. I will change the amount of time it is open for voting if we end up leaving it as a surprise. As for guesses, I really do not have one. I keep thinking maybe it will be a boy, although Mike is convinced it will be another girl. Each time I feel like I do not remember how I felt last time, so I really have nothing to compare with. Going out on a limb, I might say that I feel a little sicker this time and was more tired, but that could also have to do with the fact that I was running around with 2 this time. What I find funny is that while I feel like I have popped, I still do not fit in maternity pants....go figure! Payton was higher than Riley I think in terms of how I carried her. Maybe this one will be even higher!
Big Girl
On the way home from Payton's doctor appointment on Friday, we stopped at IKEA and picked up a new bed frame for Payton's beg girl bed. (When I get my organizing butt in gear, her room will be finished with the antique dresser and night stand from Grandpa Bill) We decided to just put it in her room on Saturday and let her get used to it. Her room turned into the crazy sleeping room with a bed and a crib:) On Saturday she wanted nothing to do with the big girl bed for sleeping. On Sunday however she chose to sleep in her big girl bed and slept all night!! It has been napping and sleeping in there ever since. This weekend I guess our project is taking down the crib. (I wish it would just fit through the door...) Our little girl is growing up so fast!!! I guess this one is all on mommy, but I thought it would take her longer to warm up to the idea. I guess she just wants to be like her big sister! Next mountain to tackle....potty training!!

Neuro Follow Up
Most of you are aware of the journey we were on with Payton's seizures and all of the tests and visits that followed. Today we had her follow up appointment with the neurologist. We were happy to report that Payton has had nothing happen since the two events in November. All of her tests have been normal as well. The doctor said that there is no further testing or follow ups necessary. Should anything happen again, we are to notify her immediately, but other than it is not necesary to meet her. We told her before leaving, "no offense, but we hope to never see you again!" It was a crazy journey, but hopefully we are past this bump in the road and nothing more will ever happen again. Thank you for all the prayers and support during that crazy time.
