28 weeks
Yesterday we reached the 28 week mark! I feel like this pregnancy is going fast! And being back at work will probably make the time go even faster. So far feeling pretty good too, even after being at work all day. Today I had my 28 week appointment and all looks good for mommy and baby. My bp is good, she continues to make me gain like a horse, and my 3 hour glucose test came back with great results as well. Today when she measured me, I was measuring about a week ahead, which she said was completely in the normal range. She said if she had to guess, we would most likley be looking at a 7.5 to 8 pound baby. Although with 12 weeks to go, I am sure that a lot can change. Feeling good though and beginning to get more ready for her. Before returning to work, we got her car seat and new stroller and next up....painting! Riley is also looking forward to shopping for clothes:) I have begun to let her pick out a few things. November will be here before we know it I bet!!

First Grade
Well, I am once again a little behind in my blogging! Here is a picture of Riley on her first day of first grade. Her first day was last Wednesday and it is once again taking a little adjusting for her to get used to heading back to school. We have tears most mornings, but not too bad. Sometimes at night she get sad in anticipation of school the next day too:( We think she just got spoiled being home with me all summer. Plus this year she is at a new school and taking the bus, so lots of changes. The neighbor who watches her in the morning and gets her on the bus says she stops crying once I leave, so that makes me feel better. Mike is able to get her off the bus in the afternoons and he says she is always in a good mood when she gets home. She continues to take tae kwan do and is doing a great job. She is now on her second set of lessons for the skills. Riley has 7 stripes (she missed one class when she was sick) and is now on to getting stickers. I think that once she gets all the stickers, it will be on to a new belt:) Oh and today was her first day of "real homework". She breezed through it and said it was "too easy". I hope for her that first grade starts to challenge her soon and is not a bore to her. Apparently her all day kindergarten has her more prepared for first grade than the half day that the rest of the kids had.
Payton is slowly adjusting to being back at daycare. She has been a little sad when I left her and today there were tears from her:( I guess I ruin the girls over the summer...but I LOVE all the time that we are able to spend together!!

Zoo Trip
Normally we have taken several zoo trips by this point in the summer, but not this year. Today was actually our first zoo trip since spring break. My friend Cheryl from work and her daughter Molly met at our house this morning and we all rode together. Which was a nice change for the mommies to have some conversation:) On the way the weather was a little rainy but once we got there the sun was shining for most of the day. The weather was cool for a change which made for a nice (and crowded) day! The girls had so much fun being together and checking out all the animals. Here are just a few pictures that I managed to get. Cheryl and I thought it was so cute that the girls were holding hands. On the way home, they even all fell asleep...so cute!! (And don't worry, Cheryl captured it while I was driving...)

24 weeks
Well yesterday we hit the 24 week mark. Today I had my doctor appointment and all looks good. Well all except that I feel like I am gaining weight like a horse!! I was so shocked to see how much I gained this past month since I really don't feel like I eat that much more or have put on that much. But I have! Baby girl was being difficult when they were using the doppler to hear her heartbeat...she kept moving away and kicking/punching. It was actually a little comical to both myself and the nurse. She was finally successful at tricking her and got a good read of 155. Today was also my fun glucose test, so hopefully those results come back just fine and no further testing is necessary. Feeling pretty good. Obviously I am noticing that things are getting a little more challenging with the growing bump and am also seriously wondering where I will find energy for everything in a few weeks when it is time to go back to work. I guess my body will just find a way though.
Riley was at a sleepover at Aunt Shannon's last night and Payton wanted in on the photo action:) First kissing my belly (well she likes to give her raspberries) and then showing off her "baby belly"!
And I know I am still slacking on scanning the ultrasound pics....one of these days!
