Pregnancy Progression

I finally had success making a collage of my pregnancy photos. I have to give thanks to Chrissy for the idea and also for the website that makes it super easy. Now you should really be able to tell how I am growing:) Only 2 1/2 more weeks and we will find out (hopefully) if number 2 will be a boy or a girl.

(The weeks are 8, 12, 16, and 20 in order.)

20 Weeks

Here are some pics from today at 20 weeks. I am going to play around a bit and see if I can get them all side by side for comparison, but for now this will have to do.

Happy Birthday to....

Lucas and Jadyn! Yesterday we had a busy day playing at birthday parties for both of them. Riley was so worn out that she slept until 9 today!!! And fortunately so did I:)

We started off the day at BounceTown bouncing for Lucas' 3rd birthday. The kids had a blast and so did the grown ups too. You can tell from the pictures I am sure because Mike tried out the velcro wall and did a little rock climbing. It was great for the kids to play and have the stuff all to themselves. A great party was wrapped up with pizza, cupcakes, and presents! Thanks to Lucas for letting us be a part of his birthday.

After a nap in the car for Riley, it was on to Indiana for Jadyn's party. Jadyn is celebrating her 5th birthday this year and had her party at a place called Bellaboo's. It was a fun time and even better for Riley because it was something new. Each room had a different theme and she had fun being with the kids and checking everything out. She had so much fun that Shannon and I are already planning a playdate back there this summer. Jadyn had a great party and enjoyed her time with her friends and her cousin. Riley loved it too when this party was also wrapped up with pizza and more cupcakes:) We are so glad that we were able to celebrate this day with her!

After these two parent laid back parties....we are thinking ahead to Riley's. Being just a month away from "little noddle" we may be having her birthday place at a somewhere fun near us:)

19 1/2 Weeks

So this pregnancy is moving right along...almost half way!!! :) I had a check up today and things look great. I gained 4 pounds since my last appointment and measuring right how I should be. My blood pressure is great, 100/78, and hoping that this continues all throughout this pregnancy and I have no issue like last time. I asked the doctor today about that and he said probably about a 20% chance that I could develop those pre-eclampsoa issues again. Hoping that I am in that 80% because I would love to try a pregnancy without feeling like Violet Beauregard....can you tel we have been watching a lot of Willy Wonka lately?

And my ultrasound is scheduled...yeah!!! We go on March 31st and hopefully will be able to find out if "little noodle" is a boy or a girl:) I know we have a while left, but we are getting antsy and I was hoping to be able to get the closet in the baby's room ready over spring break. If it turns out that baby #2 is a boy, then I have many bins to go through and pass on to all my friends. Guess we just have to wait and see....

For all the guessers, you have about 4 weeks left to cast your vote. Baby's heartbeat today was 152 if that helps....a little lower each time. We hae also started TRYING to look at names. It is proving to be a little harder this time. (And I wil try to post some pictures this weekend.)

Happy Birthday!!

In Mike's family, February is a busy birthday month. Today we are headed over to Granny and Papa Dan's house to celebrate all the birthdays. Here is who we are celebrating....Juliet on the 2nd, Granny on the 9th, Kelly on the 15th, and Mike on the 18th. I am good enough to know all the dates, but maybe not to get ALL the ages exactly right, so I will not even try. It should be a great day spent together and I made the birthday cake favorite....marble chocolate cake. I have been handed down the duty since Mike prefers the layer cake that I make over his mom's 13x9. Riley helped me make the cake last night and it smelled delicious. Cannot wait to try it and to see everyone. Hopefully the camera will come out and I can add some photos later.

Also, Mike had a great time celebrating his birthday yesterday snowboarding. It has been a long time since he has gone....probably since we have been together. He said that it all came back and he had a lot of fun and cannot wait to go back. Unfortunately I do not have any photos because that is no place for a pregnant lady and Riley I were home running errands, having lunch with friends, and getting ready for today. Now that he has gone again, I have a feeling that next year I will have no excuse why I cannot go.

15 1/2 Weeks

Today, I had another appointment...moving right along. All went well at the check up. I gained about 4 pounds since my last appointment and my blood pressure was good. Nurse did give us a little scare though. She took my bp and then checked my chart. Then she said, let's check it again. I got a little nervous given my bp issues with Riley, but the second time it was just fine. Then we got to hear baby's heartbeat again (after a lot of searching...she said baby was moving) and today it was 154. I had also thought that at our next appointment, when I am 191/2 weeks, we would have an ultrasound and hopefully get to find out boy or girl. I asked the doc and he said that they like to wait until 22 weeks and since that is between my two appointments, looks like we have to wait until 23 1/2 weeks to find out pink or blue. I guess it is only 8 weeks, but I had gotten my hopes up that we would know in 4 weeks. Oh well, as long as everything is going fine we are happy. (I will post another picture at 16 weeks...hopefully this weekend if I remember).

Oh and Riley has come up with a name for the baby...at least for now. She calls it "little noodle"! She is so cute when she asks me if she can kiss her little noodle. I think she is getting more excited...especially since I keep taking her window shopping at Babies R Us:) She is going to be a great big sister!

I am going to try and copy something cute that my friend Chrissy had on her blog. It will be a baby poll and you can all cast your votes as to gender. I personally have no feelings and Mike is just dead set that he will have two girls. I will tell you that I have been sick just a little more this time and my hair has been bad (it was great with Riley). Sorry, those are the only differences I feel so far. Well and so much bigger, but I think it is just baby #2.
