Happy Birthday!!

In Mike's family, February is a busy birthday month. Today we are headed over to Granny and Papa Dan's house to celebrate all the birthdays. Here is who we are celebrating....Juliet on the 2nd, Granny on the 9th, Kelly on the 15th, and Mike on the 18th. I am good enough to know all the dates, but maybe not to get ALL the ages exactly right, so I will not even try. It should be a great day spent together and I made the birthday cake favorite....marble chocolate cake. I have been handed down the duty since Mike prefers the layer cake that I make over his mom's 13x9. Riley helped me make the cake last night and it smelled delicious. Cannot wait to try it and to see everyone. Hopefully the camera will come out and I can add some photos later.

Also, Mike had a great time celebrating his birthday yesterday snowboarding. It has been a long time since he has gone....probably since we have been together. He said that it all came back and he had a lot of fun and cannot wait to go back. Unfortunately I do not have any photos because that is no place for a pregnant lady and Riley I were home running errands, having lunch with friends, and getting ready for today. Now that he has gone again, I have a feeling that next year I will have no excuse why I cannot go.

15 1/2 Weeks

Today, I had another appointment...moving right along. All went well at the check up. I gained about 4 pounds since my last appointment and my blood pressure was good. Nurse did give us a little scare though. She took my bp and then checked my chart. Then she said, let's check it again. I got a little nervous given my bp issues with Riley, but the second time it was just fine. Then we got to hear baby's heartbeat again (after a lot of searching...she said baby was moving) and today it was 154. I had also thought that at our next appointment, when I am 191/2 weeks, we would have an ultrasound and hopefully get to find out boy or girl. I asked the doc and he said that they like to wait until 22 weeks and since that is between my two appointments, looks like we have to wait until 23 1/2 weeks to find out pink or blue. I guess it is only 8 weeks, but I had gotten my hopes up that we would know in 4 weeks. Oh well, as long as everything is going fine we are happy. (I will post another picture at 16 weeks...hopefully this weekend if I remember).

Oh and Riley has come up with a name for the baby...at least for now. She calls it "little noodle"! She is so cute when she asks me if she can kiss her little noodle. I think she is getting more excited...especially since I keep taking her window shopping at Babies R Us:) She is going to be a great big sister!

I am going to try and copy something cute that my friend Chrissy had on her blog. It will be a baby poll and you can all cast your votes as to gender. I personally have no feelings and Mike is just dead set that he will have two girls. I will tell you that I have been sick just a little more this time and my hair has been bad (it was great with Riley). Sorry, those are the only differences I feel so far. Well and so much bigger, but I think it is just baby #2.

Chef in Training

A few months ago, Mike and I were watching Diners, Drives, and Drive-Ins. For those that have never watched, they tour the country eating at various places suggested by viewers....oh and I guess I should mention the crazy host (chef) Guy Fieri. Well on one episode, they were eating homemade ravioli and I told Mike that he had to try Mom's! She was on board and we had plans to have a cooking day, but then Grandpa got sick and our plans were sidelined. Today was the big day though! We got there early to all help mom and dad prepare the dinner. Everyone had a hand in the cooking. Riley did not do as much dough cranking as we had thought, but Nana graciously took her place. After getting here second wind, Riley made cesar salad and a delicious soup. When everything was ready, we all gorged ourselves on dinner. It was soooo good and Mike keeps saying how he cannot wait to have it again. It was a great day of cooking and spending time with family.

Bouncing FuN!

Today I had the day off and Riley decided that she wanted to stay home too. We had a lazy morning and then went sopping. When daddy got home suggested a trip to Bounce Town. Riley got up from her nap once she heard this offer and was all ready. We had a lot of fun...although I did a little too much climbing and jumping for being pregnant and did not feel so hot after. Today's favorite part for her were the cones that had the balls hover above. From the pictures, you can see how she is enjoying herself with them. Another fun time was had by all at Bounce Town.

Am I growing??

Here are two pics. The first one was from 8 weeks and the one from today I guess is more like 12 1/2 weeks. I can tell the difference, but some of you may not be able to as much. In person probably more so. Since I am blogging with this baby, you will all be able to stay more updated. Check back to see what I post!

Also, a great big thanks to Chrissy and Mike!! My friend Chrissy, self-proclaimed blog stalker, sent me ideas to try to get my photos and music to work again. Some things that have been frustrating me very much!! My wonderful hubby did one of the updates and...voila...back in business! So now thank you to them both and now that my frustrations are gone, I will be more movitivated to do more blogging. I guess we will just have to wait and see:)

New Journeys

Many of you already know, especially if we saw you at Christmas. But for those of you that do not, we are expecting baby #2!!!! We are so happy to be on this journey, especially since it seemed like a long time for us to get here. I am about 11 1/2 weeks and have had 2 appointments already. At 7 1/2 weeks we were able to see the embryo....albeit super tiny and see its little heart beating. Today we had another appointment and we were able to hear the heartbeat! Mike and I are super excited and most days so is Riley. She is so cute when she asks if she can give the baby a hug and if the baby likes it when she hugs and kisses it. Baby is due July 23rd, so I am going to have a busy summer, but we are so happy for the journeys that are in our future. 2010 is going to be a great year at the Warren house!!

I took a picture at 8 weeks, but not much to see. I will try and take another one this weekend when I am 12 weeks and then you can compare. I think I am definitely growing faster than with Riley although I have only maybe gained a few pounds. I have already had to say goodbye to some old clothing favorites and hello to some new roomier ones.
