Here are some pictures we took today...32 weeks and moving right along! Currently, I am washing all the bedding. Guess I am feeling like now I need to get more organized since summer (well for me) is officially here. And because this baby wants to be special and make this pregnancy unique...I found out that my iron is low, so I now get to be on iron pills twice a day. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that the adventures for this pregnancy are over!
We have had a busy, but fun holiday weekend! On Friday, Riley was finally convinced by Grammy to go and spend the night and boy did she have a blast. She had so much fun that it was 8:30PM on Saturday, before she decided to come back. She helped Grammy plant flowers and had a lot of fun with Bika and Mason. While she was gone Mike worked and I was able to finally get my hair done and run those ever present errands and cleaning.
Sunday we ran more errands and just had fun hanging out as a family. In the evening, Auntie Bika was back again to watch Riley and Mike and I went to a friend's to enjoy some grown up time. Riley and Bika had a blast yet again and she was sad to see her go. I think she will have withdrawal over the next week.
Today turned out to be a rainy day, so we headed to the movies to see Shrek with the neighbors. Who would think that we get caught in traffic though? 55 appeared to be closed and we could not figure out why, so we headed to the frontage road that runs right alongside it. We could see nothing and then the State Troopers started coming, followed by a bunch of black suburbans and other official cars with lights on. Then I remembered that the President was in Elwood today, podunk Illinois, and we were not allowed on 55 because the President and the convoy were making their way back to the city. For our non-special family, being the 40 or so feet away from the presidential motorcade is probably the closest we will ever be:) And the movie was super cute too! Now the sun is back out and we are gonna barbeque some steaks and our first corn on the cob of the season....yum!
Thank you to all the soldiers past, present, and future for making this Memorial Day possible. Thanks for all you do for our country!!!!
